IBICUY
Ibicuy is in the department
Islands of the Ibicuy, to the south of the province of Entre Rios, in
the zone of the Delta of the Parana.
It possesses one of the natural rivers of deep waters most important of the Argentina, the Rio Parana Ibicuy.
After the bridges Zárate-Brazo
Largo, to turn to the left side in the first intersection for the
pertaining to roads route that indicates Ibicuy (km 119). Of there, they
are 43 km from asphalt and well rolled rubble. Overcome the last section
of rubble, in the nucleus of the village the visitor finds the Municipal
court, the same construction that hundred years ago it was, first, a
hull of the stay San Isidro - property of the general Justo J. de
Urquiza - and later, the first mail and local telegraph. Later on, the
picturesque station Holt - surname of the manager englishman that
stimulated the railroad - paralyzed from 1993 and to it side, a cross of
iron raised in 1914 in memory of the English soldiers fallen in the
First World war.
Then, the way bifurcates: towards the left side, there we will find the facilities for the tourism and especially the playtime with docks for the fishing, so much of embarked like of coast. Ibicuy is to 170 km from Buenos Aires.
